  1. Golf fanatics mark your calendars for the ninth annual Williamson’s Chapel United Methodist Men’s golf tournament which will be held on September 23 at the Mallard Head Country Club in Mooresville, according to the Mooresville Tribune. (In the event of rain, the tournament will be held Sept. 30.) The cost is $75 per person for the four-person team captain’s choice format. A portion of the proceeds will go to support Williamson’s Chapel UMM Missions including FeedNC, CareNet Counseling, Boy Scouts and more. Hole sponsors are being sought for the tournament at a cost of $100 each. Several prizes will be awarded for a hole in one, including a car donated by Randy Marion dealership and $25,000 by Sawyer Insurance." See you there! (Mooresville Tribune)
  2. Looking for a new home nearby, but tired of seeing the same old listings again and again? You've come to the right place! To keep you in the game, we've compiled a fresh batch of new listings nearby. Below, you'll find the five newest houses to go up for sale in the Mooresville area — including a listing in the Troutman area with 3 beds and 2 baths for $299,900, and another in the Davidson area with 3 beds and 2 baths for $600,000. (Mooresville Patch)
  3. According to the Phenom Hoop Report, "2024 Travelle Bryson should be a name that will catch on more and will look to continue the recent success at Mooresville this upcoming season. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard has had a strong summer, whether it was at the Phenom Team Camp or at other team camps. But he is really putting his name on the map around the region of the state. Mooresville is coming off a tremendous season in which they finished with a 21-4 overall record, but the Blue Devils will be losing some key seniors from last year and will need others to step up. Bryson could be one of those guys." Stay tuned! (Phenom Hoop Report)
