- Mooresville is among the 46 North Carolina communities that the North Carolina Main Street & Rural Planning Center at the North Carolina Department of Commerce has announced have been designated a 2022 Accredited Main Street America™ program. According to the NC Department of Commerce, "this accreditation status is Main Street America’s top-tier recognition and signifies a demonstrated commitment to comprehensive commercial district revitalization and a proven track record of successfully developing an asset-based economic development strategy, and implementation through the Main Street Four-Point Approach™ Main Street America is a movement that has been helping revitalize older and historic commercial districts for more than 40 years." - North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper said he will continue to work from home after he announced on Monday that he has tested positive for COVID-19. He is reportedly experiencing mild symptoms from the virus. Cooper's office released a statement saying that he has begun taking the antiviral pill Paxlovid to treat the virus. The statement said that he has been vaccinated and has had two booster shots. According to the Mooresville Tribune, the governor said that he believes the shots helped ensure he's only having mild symptoms. (Mooresville Tribune)
- Recent visitors to Randy Marion Subaru in Mooresville were given the chance to share messages of caring, hope and love with cancer patients in their local community. The messages were delivered alongside blankets to provide comfort and warmth as the patients fight their illnesses. The program is part of Subaru Loves to Care. Subaru of America and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) are spreading love, hope and warmth to cancer patients and their families in communities across the country. (Mooresville Tribune)
