Here are the top three stories today in Mooresville:
- Mooresville is growing! To better serve the growing community, the town of Mooresville had seven major new facilities construction projects completed in 2022 or are currently in progress. These projects, funded by a direct investment of over $33 million by the Town Board of Commissioners, will provide residents and visitors with innovative facilities, enhancing quality of life and making Mooresville even more of a destination, according to an article in Iredell Free News. (Iredell Free News)
- If you're looking to add a fuzzy ball of love and affection to your life, look no further than these shelters in and around Mooresville for a pet up for adoption. Over 6 million pets are surrendered to adoption agencies each year nationwide, according to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Of those, approximately 3.3 million are dogs and 3.2 million are cats. Shelters often look after other animals in search of a permanent home as well, including pigs, birds and even horses. - It's that time of year! Time for High School Football scrimmages. Here’s a schedule of upcoming scrimmages this week. (Charlotte Observer)

(Mooresville Police Department via Facebook)
- Town of Mooresville NC: "Did you know that in the summer months, about 10% of all water produced at the Town of Mooresville treatment facilities goes to irrigation? People often unknowingly use more water than necessary to water their lawns." (Town of Mooresville NC via Facebook)
- Mooresville Public Library: "Here is a small update on the progress for our West Branch! The walls are painted, the lights are up, and the carpets are down! We look forward to opening later in the fall. Is everyone excited?" (Mooresville Public Library via Facebook)
