- Iredell County Emergency Management is encouraging Mooresville residents to plan now for hurricane season. Hurricane season for Mooresville and North Carolina is typically from Jun. 1 through Nov. 30. Officials are encouraging residents to create a plan and a survival kit for their families. - A short, connecting portion of Cedar Street in Mooresville will be closed from May 2 to Jun. 30 to allow crews to complete roadway improvements, including a new drainage system and utility adjustments.
