Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Friday, September 10, 2021, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a breaking and entering which occurred on Robinson Road off of Highway 150 West of Mooresville.

When the deputies arrived on scene, the victim advised them while they were out of town on vacation someone who they believed to be familiar with the residence, allegedly broke into the home and stole several firearms, jewelry, and cash. The investigation was then assigned to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation’s Division.

During the investigation, Crime Scene Investigators and Detectives gathered evidence from the residence which led to the identification of the suspect who is a 17 year old male. The juvenile suspect was then interviewed. Information was obtained which led investigators to search the suspect’s residence. Items of stolen property were located including firearms, ammunition, jewelry, and U.S currency, which totaled 9,550.00 dollars. The seized items were documented and returned to the victim.

The juvenile suspect will be charged with Felony Breaking and Entering, and Felony Larceny after Breaking and Entering.
