Iredell Vaccination Event For 65 And Up Set For Feb. 3: Details

Anyone 65 years old and older may receive their first dose of vaccine at the Feb. 3 event at North Iredell High School, ICHD said.

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — A drive-thru vaccination event scheduled in northern Iredell County Feb. 3 will offer a coronavirus vaccine to anyone over 65, county health officials announced Friday.

The Wednesday, Feb. 3 vaccination event will be held at North Iredell High School, located at 156 Raider Road in Olin, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Health officials ask that participants print out and complete a registration form, which may be found here. If participants are unable to print the form ahead of time, registration may also be complete on site, organizers said.

Following vaccination, participants will receive followup details regarding when and where to go for their second doses through an automated message sent to the phone number used during registration, ICHD said.

Participants in the vaccination clinic are not required to be Iredell County residents.

"We encourage individuals to seek vaccination in their county of residence, but we will accommodate individuals who work in Iredell, live elsewhere, or individuals who live closer to an Iredell County vaccination clinic than a clinic in their county of residence," Megan Redford, spokesperson for the Iredell County Health Department, told Patch recently.
