- This summer marks the beginning of production on the Mullen 3. This is exciting news for car enthusiasts! According to the Winston-Salem Journal, "The Randy Marion Automotive network has received the first Class 3 demonstration electric vehicle from Mullen Automotive Inc. The dealership, based in Lake Norman, has locations in Huntersville, Mooresville, Statesville, West Jefferson and Wilkesboro. The Mullen 3 is priced at $68,500 and includes an estimated 130-mile range and 5,800-pound payload." (Subscription: Winston-Salem Journal)
- The Quarry at Carrigan Farms in Mooresville made AOL's list of places to cool off this summer in North Carolina. The Quarry is open from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and the cost is $20. - Organized by the Mooresville Police Department and the Mooresville/Lake Norman Exchange Club, the Town of Mooresville observed National Police Week and National Peace Officer Memorial Day with a ceremony on the town hall lawn. Three members of MPD: Chief of Police James Rimmer in 1938, Detective Lt. Larry Barger in 1974 and K-9 Officer Jordan Sheldon in 2019, who died in the line of duty while serving with Mooresville’s police department were remembered during the ceremony.
