- It's finally here — Stormwater's annual Creek Week! This will be a week full of free events for residents of all ages to enjoy! Be sure you sign up for events a MooresvilleNC.gov/CreekWeek. The goal of the week is to educate kids and adults about the importance of keeping water clean by offering several hands-on learning experiences from touring the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants to repairing stream bank erosion and participating in the annual Community Clean Up Day! The Stormwater Division encourages residents to minimize stormwater pollution whenever possible and, during Creek Week, residents can learn exactly how to do that. (Town of Mooresville)
- Joseph Graham Padgett Jr., 35, of Statesville, was arrested by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol on Saturday morning at 2:10 a.m. Padgett has been accused of nearly hitting two students at a school bus stop in Statesville during the week. He has made bond and is scheduled for court on Thursday, March 16.(WSOC Charlotte)
