Here are the top three stories in Mooresville today:

1. Applications are currently being accepted by the Mooresville Police Department from individuals interested in learning more about MPD and who would like to join the 2023 Citizens Police Academy. The academy will begin on March 14 and it will conclude with a graduation ceremony on June 6. 2. Young single adults living in Mooresville, Statesville, Cornelius, Huntersville and Mountain Island areas are reportedly invited to worship at a new congregation established by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Members of the Young Single Adult (YSA) Branch are between the ages of 18 and 30. According to the Mooresville Tribune, "Congregations for YSAs provide unique opportunities for individuals to worship, serve and socialize with peers their own age." (Mooresville Tribune)
3. Retired but not retired! After announcing that he was retired from the Xfinity Series in 2021, famed driver Kyle Busch has announced he will return to the Xfinity Series with Kaulig Racing. According to Bounding Into Sports, in a press release, Busch said, “I’m looking forward to having some fun in the Xfinity Series again.”(Bounding Into Sports)
