- The State of North Carolina General Assembly has deemed 2023 the official, "Year of the Trail." To celebrate, join the town of Mooresville for some family fun at the Year of the Trail celebration at Mazeppa Park (645 Mazeppa Road — soccer side) on May 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will include guided hikes, a bike safety rodeo, family bike rides, guided group mountain bike rides, and free bike demos. In addition, a coffee truck will be on-site in the morning and food trucks will be there in the afternoon from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Hope to see you there! (Town of Mooresville)
- Mooresville is among the North Carolina communities that have gained 2023 Main Street America status from the National Main Street Center.
