  1. Mooresville Arts announced its 10th Anniversary Winter Juried Exhibition! The exhibit attracted a total of 162 submissions from 65 artists. Out of the 162 entries, 42 pieces of artwork, created by 36 artists, were chosen for the exhibition. This year’s juror was Marisa Pascucci, gallery and collection coordinator of the Van Every/Smith Galleries at Davidson College, North Carolina. According to a press release, accepted artwork for the Winter Juried Exhibit includes paintings, drawings and mixed media work and this show will be on display in Mooresville Arts Center Gallery through Thursday, February 23. Gallery Hours are Tuesday-Friday 12-4pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. (Mooresville Arts)
  2. Race fans, it has been announced that Rajah Caruth will be returning to the Alpha Prime Racing team for selected races during this year's season. According to HBCU Gameday, "Details regarding sponsorship and Rajah’s NASCAR XFINITY scheduled events with Alpha Prime will come at a future date."(HBCU Gameday)
  3. The Mooresville Graded School District Board of Education will be holding a work session on Thursday, February 2 to collaborate on an updated five-year strategic plan. The agenda has been posted and can be viewed at this link: Board of Education Agenda (Called Work Session) - February 2. Due to this being a work session for the Board of Education and not the regularly scheduled monthly meeting, there will be no public comment. (Parent Square)
