🌱 Mooresville DMV Will Have New Hours Soon + Road Work Throughout May

• New hours for Mooresville's DMV.

Here are the top three stories today in Mooresville:

1. Starting May 1, Mooresville's DMV Office on Patterson Avenue will be opening one hour earlier at 7 a.m. Monday-Friday. The office will be closing at the usual time at 5 p.m. In addition to the time change, all customer services statewide will be provided on a walk-in basis after noon. Appointments will only be available in the mornings through 11 a.m. Another new change is the addition of several new examiners being added across the state last year and another 85 have been hired recently. 2. Don't forget that this weekend Iredell County Animal Services (located at 430 Bristol Dr. Statesville, NC) is having an open house and kitten shower on April 29 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Come tour the facility and bring supplies for the annual deluge of kittens that come into the shelter. This year the event will have food trucks and characters for the family to meet. It will also include vendors set up throughout the area. (Patch)
3. Resurfacing work on the roadway between U.S. 21 (Statesville Road) and N.C. 115 (Old Statesville Road) will be ongoing for through the end of May from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night. The work is being done by the North Carolina Department of Transportation contract crews. (WHKY)
