  1. The official ribbon cutting for the new 26,000 square foot FeedNC location along Charlotte Highway in Mooresville was held on Monday. The new space is reportedly three times larger than the previous location that was housed on South Broad Street. The new facility will help further FeedNC's mission of building a "bigger table for the community" by providing a space that can foster education, dignity, food and essentials for those in need.   3. A major fire broke out early Tuesday morning at the corner of West Broad Street and South Center Street after 2 a.m. in downtown Statesville. Buildings were heavily consumed by flames and smoke. According to WCNC, "fire crews from Hickory, Mooresville, Statesville and Troutman responded to the fire, as well as volunteer units from across Iredell County. All off-duty Statesville firefighters were ordered to report for duty to help contain the fire. Officials say no one was hurt, and no one was inside the buildings at the time of the fire. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control by 5:30 a.m. A witness said up to six buildings were damaged by the fire. Fire officials haven't explained what caused the fire at this time."(WCNC.com)
