They help route fire, medic, police and help keep the person calm while waiting for first responders to arrive. It's a rewarding position that is greatly needed. - Congratulations to cadet Col. Gabriel Valentin Dunn of the North Carolina Wing’s Iredell Composite Squadron. He has attatined the highest achievement for a Civil Air Patrol cadet, the Gen. Carl A. According to the Mooresville Tribune, "The DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award is a special recognition in nursing, one created to recognize nurses who have devoted their life’s work to the compassionate care of others."
