1. Looking for a fulfilling position? The Mooresville Police Department is currently hiring telecommunicators! When someone calls 911 for help, a telecommunicator is the first person they speak to. They help route fire, medic, police and help keep the person calm while waiting for first responders to arrive. It's a rewarding position that is greatly needed. 2. Congratulations to cadet Col. Gabriel Valentin Dunn of the North Carolina Wing’s Iredell Composite Squadron. He has attatined the highest achievement for a Civil Air Patrol cadet, the Gen. Carl A. 3. The DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award has been given to Lake Norman Regional Medical Center Interim Surgical Services Director Brenda Burk, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, CSSM, CNOR. According to the Mooresville Tribune, "The DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award is a special recognition in nursing, one created to recognize nurses who have devoted their life’s work to the compassionate care of others."
