  1. Iredell County is looking for input from residents as it updates the Horizon Plan. The plan was reportedly originally adopted in 2009 and due to new growth, shifts in community preferences, and the evolution of industries a call for changes to the original plan has been made. Residents can give their input through an online survey here, https://www.iredellhorizonplan.info/. The survey is open through February 9. The next Horizon Plan will consider topics of the previous plan as well as new issues, such as growth management and future land use, transportation, public services and facilities, and economic development. Please take the time to take the survey and let the community know what is important to you! (Town of Mooresville NC via Facebook)
  2. Hope Park will be closed February 6-20 due to a resurfacing project. Take note, if there are weather-related issues, this project could take longer. To stay abreast of the project's updates and progress click here. (Mooresville Parks & Recreation via Facebook)
  3. The Mooresville Police Department detectives have been trying to solve this mystery for a while. The MPD Officers have recently noticed a string of disappearances of food items from desks and tables around the facility. When similar reports came in from Mooresville High School, the MPD Detectives reportedly began an investigation into a possible serial snack and sandwich thief. Detectives decided to investigate and set up a hidden camera and see what happened. The culprit was caught red-pawed, sneaking a doughnut off a teacher's desk. Dun-dun-dun! K9 Bella has been charged with excessive use of olfactory sense (her nose knows!) and for being overly adorable. She has been sentenced to a minimum of 30 minutes of belly rubs and ear scratches a day. Case closed! (Mooresville Police Department via Facebook)
