- Mooresville's Nick Hoffman took the win at the Tri-City Speedway's Modified Nationals and he was pumped about it! According to a stlracing.com article, Hoffman said, "I was pretty amped-up to win that one.” The article states, "Hoffman, the now 60-time Summit Modified winner was ecstatic in Victory Lane. His close family and friends were present to see him take down one of DIRTcar’s all-time greats in Mike Harrison, bringing the emotion out of him as he climbed atop the car with son Maddox to celebrate." - The Queen of Hip Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige, is bringing her Good Morning Gorgeous Tour to Charlotte's Spectrum Center on Sept. 21! Tickets to see Mary J. Blige went on sale Friday. Blige will perform in 23 cities and will be joined by special guest artists Ella Mai and Queen Naija. (WCCB Charlotte)
- Reportedly, four of North Carolina's largest health care systems sent sensitive patient information to Facebook. This action implicated Duke University Hospital, Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, Novant Health and WakeMed. According to WCNC, "Potential information Facebook could have received includes patients' health conditions, allergies and sexual orientations."(WCNC.com)
