- Did you know that at Mooresville HealthReach Community Clinic, you could see a doctor at no cost? According to WCNC.com, "HealthReach Community Clinic provides free medical care, medications, labs, and mental health care for individuals with limited means and no health insurance. “HealthReach Community clinic is the only free medical clinic in all of Iredell county," Sabrina Niggel, executive director of Health Reach Community Clinic. said. A patient must meet a few qualifications. “One is that you reside in Iredell county, two is that you earn less the 300% of the federal poverty level and three is that you have no health insurance," Niggel said. "As long as you meet those qualifications you can receive treatment for 1 full year at HealthReach." How can they do this? Through a combination of generous donors and volunteers. The goal? Making sure people don’t have to choose between their health… and their rent payments." (WCNC.com)
- The countdown has begun! Feed NC is one week away from its annual Community Can Drive! and according to a recent Facebook post, "With a record number of families applying for services this year (way more than during the pandemic), they need to count on you, their generous donors, to make sure they have the necessary food to give to those who are unable to afford groceries. Donations can be made at FeedNC on 11/19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m!" Please donate if you can! (Feed NC via Facebook)
