Here are the top three stories today in Mooresville:
- As of Friday morning, the "No Swimming" advisory has been lifted for a portion of Lake Norman. According to a WCNC article, "the advisory was issued after 600 gallons of untreated sewage were discharged into a cove on Lake Norman from a damaged pipe on Meta Road in Cornelius to a cove on Lake Norman. The damage was caused by a private contractor while performing horizontal directional drilling. The pipe has since been repaired and the discharge stopped."(WCNC.com)
- According to a North Carolina Commissioner of Banks filing, Blueharbor Bank has permanently closed its branch in downtown Mooresville. The closed branch was located at 151 E. Iredell Ave. Reportedly, Blueharbor's headquarters at 106 Corporate Park Drive in Mooresville is separate from the closed branch and will remain open. (WSOC Charlotte)
