  1. Porsche will run its LMDh campaign with America's Team Penske. According to a Motor Authority article, "The squad is based out of Penske's headquarters in Mooresville, the same site where Penske oversees its IndyCar and NASCAR campaigns. The team will race under the banner Porsche Penske Motorsport and confirmed drivers include Kevin Estre, Michael Christensen, Andre Lotterer, Laurens Vanthoor, Matt Campbell, Mathieu Jaminet, Dane Cameron and Felipe Nasr. The first race will be the 2023 24 Hours of Daytona, the opening race of the 2023 IMSA SportsCar Championship. Porsche's LMDh, dubbed the 963, will race alongside LMH (Le Mans Hypercar) cars in the premier GTP (Grand Touring Prototype) class of the SportsCar Championship." (Motor Authority)
  2. It has been announced that the Charles Mack Citizen Center in Mooresville will be the location of the fall Habitat Summit. The Salisbury-based Three Rivers Land Trust is hosting a one-of-a-kind Habitat Summit on Friday, October 7. It is slated to feature industry leaders in the areas of biology, land management, habitat improvement and much more. Designed for farmers, timber buyers, wildlife biologists and other natural resource professionals who are interested in improving habitat quality for wildlife and land management the Summit will include presentations, sound management advice and land management practices for the everyday hunter, farmer, homesteader or any other interested parties.
