- Team Penske, the Mooresville, N.C-based squad has collected many accolades over the years and now the founder, Roger Penske has another to add to the list. The 85-year-old is set to receive the Autosport Gold Medal in London, England. According to Motorsport.com, "Few figures in global motorsport have made as much of an impact as Penske, 85, who receives the award that was created to recognize the handful of very special individuals who have not only contributed a massive amount to the sport during a long career but who will also leave a lasting legacy." - The Mooresville Police Department held its employee appreciation luncheon and award ceremony. According to a Facebook post about the event, "Officer of the Year went to Officer Whitman. Civilian of the Year went to Lee LaBelle. Telecommunicator of the Year went to Samantha Jones and the Dash Award went to SRO Parker. We are so proud of all of our employees. Congratulations to those who received an award today!" (Mooresville Police Department via Facebook)
- According to the Mooresville Tribune, "at the Mooresvilleβs Board of Commissioners Monday night meeting, Mayor Miles Atkins recognized Rani Holland for her appointment to N.C. Water Treatment Operators Certification Board. Holland was selected to serve as one of the eight members of the board by Gov. Roy Cooper.
