  1. Creating a place for food to grow and people to learn, the Earnhardt family and The Dale Jr. Foundation, combined with longtime partner Unilever, has reportedly established Mimi’s Garden in honor of Brenda Jackson (also known as Mimi), who is the mother of both Kelley Earnhardt Miller and Dale Earnhardt Jr., who passed away in 2019 following a battle with cancer. The 14,000 square foot garden, located at FeedNC’s new facility, 2456 Charlotte Highway, will grow local produce which will be distributed to those in need. In addition, the garden will be used as a way to educate the community about the importance of respecting the land and growing food in a sustainable way. Wheelbarrows, shovels, garden tools, as well as financial support, are needed to help this garden flourish. (Feed NC via Facebook)
  2. Tuesday was day two of the Morrisville Police Department Summer Camp and it was jam- packed with a day full of excitement. The Junior Officers learned all kinds of things like what it is like to be on a SWAT team, bicycle safety and how to park the golf cart. They also had to walk a straight line while wearing drunk goggles and played some Bingo! Have fun campers! (Mooresville Police Department via Facebook)
  3. The town of Mooresville has issued a scam alert for residents. "If you receive a call from anyone claiming to work for the Town of Mooresville stating you have an overpayment on your account and you need to provide a credit card number to post a credit to your account, please do NOT provide the information! This is a scam. If you have questions regarding utility billing, please contact Jessie Colton, Billing & Collections supervisor, at jcolton@mooresvillenc.gov or 704-663-3800."
