On Saturday, March 11 Ghostface Brewing’s first-ever free, family-friendly concert series, Rock the Lot will be held with live music from 4 to 7 p.m. from The Hwy, a rock duo. - Students at Pine Lake Prepartory school were called out for inapprobriately wearing "Make America Great Again" shirts and hats at the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington D.C. The incident was recorded. According to WCNC, the teacher in the video said, "We're standing outside the National African American Museum and Culture and there's a class of students standing in front of us and the majority of them have on Trump hats and Make America Great Again. My students feel so uncomfortable. Andrew Moceri, Pine Lake Prep’s executive director, said in a statement he apologized for allowing students to wear political messages on the trip and for the impact of those actions." (WCNC.com)
- Derick Trocke of Mooresville, who was originally given no bond after being accused in the murder of his wife, was recently given a $500,000 bond, which he posted and is currently out of jail. However, he is being required to wear an ankle monitor. (WBTV)
