- In the market for a new home, or just curious about what else is out there? - According to a Facebook post by the Town of Mooresville, "the Board of Commissioners will hold an Agenda Briefing virtually, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, July 29. The live stream can be viewed by visiting mooresvillenc.gov/live. The purpose of these meetings is to provide the Board of Commissioners with an opportunity to address town staff and ask questions regarding agenda items and presentations that will be heard during the regular meetings, held on the first and third Mondays of each month. Such items will include presentations, consent agenda items and regular agenda items. Monday, August 1, the meeting will be held in person at 6 p.m. at Mooresville Town Hall and will be simultaneously live-streamed. The public is invited to attend or view the live stream by visiting mooresvillenc.gov/live. The agenda will consist of Public Comment, Presentations, Consent Agenda items, Regular Agenda items, New Business, Manager’s Report, and Closed Session. - Craft Fair lovers I hope your calendars are marked for August 5 and 6, that's when one of the largest and oldest crafts fairs in the state will take place on the Town Square in Burnsville, the 65th Mount Mitchell Juried Crafts Fair. There will be a bevy of crafters all in one place for this annual event that draws visitors from near and far. Hours for the fair are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and there is no charge for admission. Hope to see you there! (Mooresville Tribune)
