- The Town of Mooresville’s new Building Inspections & Permitting Department is hiring several positions including senior building code official (two positions), building code official III (three positions), and building code official III. Employees will perform site inspections, review plans, approve construction documents and/or issue permits, among other duties. Senior building code official employees will supervise and oversee inspection staff as well as provide input on plan review, permitting, and the inspection process. - Mark your calendars! The Spring Fling Car show presented by the Mooresville Lion's Club will be held on June 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Feed NC's new location at 2456 Charlotte Highway in Mooresville. - Feeling better now, driver Kasey Kahne, who left NASCAR Cup racing before the 2018 season, might be ready to drive again. He said he feels much better and at age 43 his body is feeling good. Earlier this spring Kahne was named to NASCAR's 75 Greatest Drivers. According to Autoweek, Kahne said, “I think it would be great to run a stock car again.” (Autoweek)
