  1. Get ready because the Easter Bunny is changing it up this year! To honor the town’s sesquicentennial, the 150th Anniversary Egg Quest, presented by Carter Bank & Trust will replace the traditional egg dash offered by Mooresville Parks & Recreation Department. This event will take place throughout Mooresville beginning March 25 and will run through Easter weekend (April 9). Families and individuals will hunt in 16 local parks to find 150 golden eggs. Each golden egg will hold a coupon to redeem $25 gift card. Three “Golden Eggs” will have a voucher for a $100 Visa card and $50 worth of prizes. Vouchers may be claimed at the Parks & Recreation Administration Office, 418 Carpenter Avenue, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The limit is one voucher per family. Mooresville Parks & Recreation employees and their families are not eligible. For a list of Mooresville parks, visit here. Hope to see you out hunting! (Mooresville Parks & Recreation via Facebook)
  2. The Iredell County high school wrestling season produced another exceptional group of athletes including Mooresville’s Davis Freeze and Greg Merriman, the R&L County Co-Wrestlers of the Year. According to the Mooresville Tribune, "Freeze capped a 45-1 campaign by going 4-0 at the state tournament. It culminated with a 4A state championship at 152 pounds. He was named Co-Wrestler of the Year in the Greater Metro Conference with Hickory Ridge’s Tomas Brooker. Merriman punctuated a 44-1 season by going 4-0 in Greensboro and winning the 4A state title at 170 pounds." Congratulations guys you did a great job! (Mooresville Tribune)
  3. The Blood Connection is holding the “Walk with the Mayor” blood drive at Bellingham Park from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22. Do your part and donate!
