MOORESVILLE, NC — Martin Luther King Jr. Day will be a little different this time around. With coronavirus cases spiking, many celebrations were canceled. The one thing locals can count on is a scheduled holiday.
Many government services are already affected by coronavirus closures, but the holiday will shake up their hours more. Here is what's opened and closed around Monday's holiday:
- Town of Mooresville Offices: Closed
- Iredell County Government Offices: Closed
- Schools and Administrative Offices: Closed
- U.S. Postal Service: Closed
- Town of Mooresville Sanitation: one-day delay in services
- Iredell County Solid Waste: all county solid waste facilities will be open
