Woodland Heights Middle To Host 5K, 1-Mile Fun Run In Mooresville

The May 1 race benefit Woodland Heights Middle also includes a virtual 5K option. Here's how to register.

MOORESVILLE, NC — Woodland Heights Middle School is hosting a 5K run/walk event Saturday, May 1 to benefit the school's parent teacher student organization. The event also includes a 1-mile fun run and a virtual 5K option.

"This is a 5K run/walk event for all ages and abilities," organizers said. "This first-time event will be untimed but there will be a clock at the start/finish line so participants will know their times. All participants will receive a custom t-shirt and all finishers will receive a coveted finisher medal."

While pets are not permitted during the race, strollers are welcome.

"All participants that register before April 1st will be guaranteed a t-shirt and event finisher medal," organizers said.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. May 1 at Woodland Heights Middle School, located at 272 Forest Lake Boulevard in Mooresville.
