Woodlawn School Gearing Up For Free STEAMFest 2022

MOORESVILLE, NC — STEAMfest is all about celebrating science, technology, engineering, arts and math.

STEAMfest is the annual Woodlawn sponsored celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Woodlawn School is an independent, nonprofit school, but kids everywhere are invited to participate in STEAMfest.

Woodlawn, local universities, museums, community organizations, and businesses have created engaging, STEAM hands-on activities for students to have fun and learn. STEAMfest 2022 will be a hybrid model, with virtual and in-person elements.

STEAMfest Virtual begins on January 1st and is free and open to youth from around the world. Students just need to register, then explore and complete activities to earn badges at https://wsteamfest.org.

STEAMfest Live is also free and will take place on Sunday, January 30. The Woodlawn campus at 135 Woodlawn School Loop in Mooresville will host dozens of booths providing hands-on activities for Woodlawn students and the local community. In 2020, over 300 families visited STEAMfest Live for the largest event ever held on campus.
