Year-Round Farmers Market To Open In Mooresville: Details

Here's where you can find the weekend market and what will be offered.

MOORESVILLE, NC — A year-round weekend farmers market is set to open Saturday, April 10 at Merino Mill in Mooresville.

The Merino Mill Market will set up shop in the parking lot near The Barcelona Burger & Beer Garden, located at 500 S. Main Street. The weekend market will be open on Saturdays and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., say organizers.

The new farmers market “will make the Mill a place to buy fresh, local food to cook or enjoy at home,” said Merino Mill owner Michal Bay. “We want the market to feel like an old-fashioned grocer, where you can buy great ingredients grown close to where you live.”

Bay said he also has plans to add local honey, seafood and meat to the market, and that a newsletter for shoppers will feature what will be for sale at the market each week.
