📰 News we're reading

• Making it a beautiful day in the neighborhood: Pinehurst talks noise ordinances, good neighbor practices (sandhillssentinel.com) — Pinehurst’s village council is keeping the noise rules mostly as‑is but may test monitoring devices and tweak early-morning golf course blower use after a few recurring complaints. Officials also plan new letters and neighborhood signs to guide short‑term rental guests on noise, trash, and parking so year‑round residents can enjoy quieter, cleaner streets.

• CVB approves $1 million in tourism grants (sandhillssentinel.com) — A regional tourism bureau has awarded $1 million in grants to 10 Moore County projects, including one in the Village of Pinehurst, to boost visitor experiences and quality of life. The Pinehurst-based CVB says future funding will target fewer, more transformative tourism projects as new occupancy tax revenue grows.
