• Pittsboro Commissioners Swear In New Members, Honor Longtime Mayor Pro Tem in Final 2025 Meeting (chapelboro.com) — Pittsboro’s Board of Commissioners has sworn in newcomers Candace Hunziker and Tiana Thurber, while honoring longtime mayor pro tem Pamela Baldwin and naming J.A. Farrell as her successor. Mayor Kyle Shipp also began a new four-year term. The new board members say they’ll focus on balancing rapid Chatham Park–driven growth with preserving Pittsboro’s historic downtown character, walkability, and strong sense of community.
