• Dare Tourism Board awards $1.77M in Tourism Impact Grants to 12 local nonprofits (outerbanksvoice.com) — Southern Shores is set to receive more than $220,000 to rebuild the multi-use path from Hillcrest Drive to the town’s northern line in safer, longer-lasting concrete, thanks to a new Dare County Tourism Impact Grant. The grant is part of $1.77 million awarded to 12 nonprofits and towns countywide for sidewalks, trails, historic sites, and other projects aimed at improving safety, mobility, and quality of life for residents and visitors.
