  1. Wilmington has been included in the travel publication The Discoverer's list of 10 essential cities or areas to visit in the southeast, which also features Charleston, South Carolina, Savannah, Georgia, and St. Augustine, Florida. The publication highlights Wilmington's many attractions, including the Wilmington Riverwalk, The Cotton Exchange, Airlie Gardens, and Battleship North Carolina. (Star News)
  2. A mixed-use development project in Wilmington has been approved and will be built between 3rd and 4th streets downtown. The development will consist of a three-story, 50-foot-tall residential and commercial complex with 115 units and 873 square feet of commercial space. The project will also include a 108-space parking lot constructed under the building due to the site being a brownfield location where no residential uses can be built on the ground floor.   3. The Wilmington Police Department is investigating a shooting at Hanover Landing Apartments, where two victims were found suffering from gunshot wounds and are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them or use the Tip 411 app. (WECT News 6)
