  1. The Winston-Salem Theatre Alliance has announced their upcoming Fall production: "The Addams Family." This classic production opened on Broadway 13 years ago in April 2010 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, putting on 722 performances. The show takes to the stage in Winston-Salem beginning Sep. 15, and tickets are available online. (Winston-Salem Theatre Alliance via Facebook)
  2. Police have arrested two juveniles involved in a series of break-ins that occurred at local businesses yesterday. Officers responded to burglar alarms at Clines Auto Repair, Citgo, and Taco Rieno early yesterday morning, and arrested two suspects later in the day. Police have not confirmed if the suspects who were taken into custody will face charges. (WXII12 Winston-Salem)
  3. The Arts Council of Winston-Salem & Forsyth County is calling for applications for artists to create a street mural on the Fourth Street bridge that overlooks Highway 52. The mural will be painted as part of a massive community event on Sunday, Sep. 10 hosted by the United Way of Forsyth County, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the organization. The call for entries is open until midnight tonight for artists to participateβ€”each artist would be responsible for painting one letter in the mural spelling "LIVE UNITED." (WXII12 Winston-Salem)
