  1. A man who is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Winston-Salem has been arrested. The incident occurred at a business on Reynolda Road. A woman arrived to open the business when a man threatened her with a hammer, sexually assaulted her in the store, then left. The suspect, Bryon Shane Martin, was located within two hours. Police said that the suspect did not know the victim and described it as a "random act of violence." Martin is facing charges of first-degree kidnapping and first-degree forcible rape. (My Fox 8)
  2. Officials with the Winston-Salem Fire Department said they recently put out a fire at a scrap metal processing site. The fire occurred on Saturday, Sep. 9, at Omnisource on Glenn Avenue. No injuries were reported. (WXII 12)
  3. There are lots of great events coming up with the City of Winston-Salem Recreation and Parks! On Sep. 14, the Old Town Neighborhood Center will be showing the movie "Lake Placid" as part of the Old Town Frightening Films series. On Sep. 15, Brown & Douglas Recreation Center will host an Ovarian Cancer Awareness Program.
