Florida fraud suspect tracked down and taken into custody in North Dakota (cw34.com) — Bismarck authorities helped track down a Florida fraud suspect now being held at the Burleigh County Jail pending extradition. The 24-year-old is accused of defrauding residents in St. Lucie County, Florida, after a year-long investigation into alleged economic crimes. 3. Beverly Kessler (centralnordak.com) — Bismarck-area readers are mourning Beverly Rae Kessler, 83, a Stanton resident who was born in Bismarck and later worked in Bismarck as a nurse’s aide. Services are Friday in Stanton, with visitation Thursday evening in Beulah. She is remembered for her devotion to family, farming life, and her many handmade and home-baked gifts.
   

4. ND Industrial Commission approves $4.8 million for lignite projects (kxnet.com) — State leaders meeting in Bismarck have approved $4.8 million in grants to support lignite research and development projects across North Dakota. The funding, drawn from energy tax revenues, backs efforts to keep lignite-based power viable through technology, environmental, and marketing improvements. Residents can still apply for the next grant round by April 1, 2026.
