New children's advocacy center in Williston (kfyrtv.com) — Families in Williston now have access to a full-service Children’s Advocacy Center through the local behavioral health nonprofit ConnectUs, offering a safe space for kids affected by abuse. As only the fourth fully operational center in North Dakota, it brings specialized interviews and healing support closer to home, after years of planning and months of quietly serving children since September. 
2. Williston EDC reaccredited by International EDC (kxnet.com) — Williston’s Economic Development Chamber has just been reaccredited by the International Economic Development Council, remaining the only IEDC-accredited organization in North Dakota. Local leaders say the honor recognizes the city’s professionalism and expertise in supporting businesses, and they view it as a strong signal that Williston’s economic future is in capable hands.
3. Monday, Dec. 15, 2025 (keyzradio.com) — Several buy-and-sell listings are available in and around Williston, including straw bales 20 miles northwest of town and a Ford Excursion and food dehydrator west of the city. Other nearby communities like Sidney, Tioga, and Dickinson also feature vehicles, trailers, and farm supplies for sale or wanted.
4. Janette D. Ahmann (codyenterprise.com) — Williston readers are remembering Janette D. Ahmann, who once lived, worked for Amerada Hess, and served at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church here before later years in Cody, Wyoming and Minot. Her obituary honors a life of family devotion, church and civic involvement, and support for people with disabilities, with cremation and no services planned.
