Akron Public Schools has been selected as a recipient of a $20,000 grant award by the Foundation's Trustees of the Burton D. Morgan Foundation.

The grant funds will be used to support students enrolled in the Akron After School program in spring, summer and fall 2022.

Burton D. Morgan Foundation focuses its grant funding on supporting entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education in Northeast Ohio. However, occasionally, the Foundation makes one-time, proactive grants to deserving organizations that serve our community. Akron After School provides extended learning opportunities to hundreds of students each year and is honored to be chosen for this grant.

'We are grateful to the Burton D. Morgan Foundation for being a steadfast and enthusiastic support for our students. This will enhance what we can offer in Akron After School," said Superintendent Christine Fowler Mack.
