• Akron Snow Angels plans event to help homeless neighbors (beaconjournal.com) — Akron residents are invited to support neighbors experiencing homelessness at a Jan. 16 “Night of Dancing & Compassion” hosted by Akron Snow Angels at The Bank at the East End. Another major local gathering follows March 26, when the Women’s Endowment Fund celebrates women’s leadership and honors Bernett L. Williams at Quaker Station downtown.
