• Saloma L. Byler, New Lyme Township, Ohio (wkbn.com) — Family and friends in Ashtabula are among those mourning 79-year-old Saloma L. Byler, whose daughter Martha May Nipple lives in Ashtabula. Byler, a longtime New Lyme Township resident who cleaned local homes and cherished time with her grandchildren, died December 11 at home. No public services are planned, and arrangements were handled by Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service in Andover.
   

• Tracey Lynn Housel, Williamsfield, Ohio (wkbn.com) — Ashtabula County is remembering Williamsfield resident Tracey Lynn Housel, whose career and volunteer work touched United Way of Ashtabula County, Kent State Ashtabula, and the county’s 4-H community. The 75-year-old farm-based creative, mentor, and “Savvy Sisters” jewelry partner died December 9, with a spring celebration of life planned and memorial donations suggested to local Ashtabula-focused organizations.
