4 Dead In Possible Murder-Suicide In Avon Lake
Two children and two adults were found dead in a home in Avon Lake on Tuesday.
AVON LAKE, OH — Two adults and two children were found dead inside a home after an apparent murder-suicide in Avon Lake on Tuesday, police announced.
At 1:20 p.m., police were asked to check on a family on English Turn Drive. Officers got into the house and found four dead people, all of whom had been shot, police said.
The Lorain County Coroner's office and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation were asked to join the investigation.

The deaths are still being looking into by officers, police said.
Avon Lake Schools Superintendent Bob Scott released a statement mourning the loss of two "wonderful students." He said both students attended Erieview Elementary.

"This tragedy defies our understanding, but our community is here for our students. Counselors will be on-site at Erieview in the morning for students and staff," Scott said.
