All Pro Freight Stadium Hosting Another All-Star Game

Great Lakes League All-Star Game to be played in July

will be the site for the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League All-Star Game, the announced on Friday.

The game will be played on July 11. The Lake Erie Monarchs out of Carleton, Mich., and the Stark County Terriers, which play in Canton, are the host teams for the game.

This will be the second time in a year that the stadium has hosted an all-star game. The was played there in 2011.

In a statement released by the Crushers, Monarchs president Jim DeSana said the stadium's location was ideal.

“It is a fantastic stadium and centrally located for our fans in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky," he said.

The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League has 11 teams and has been in existence since 1987.

All Pro Freight Stadium is also the site of the Mid-American Conference baseball championships in May.
