Asdrubal Cabrera Coming to Lake Erie Crushers Game

The return home to Wednesday night to open a six-game homestand featuring some special events.

Wednesday's 7:05 p.m. game against the Joliet Slammers is Avon Lake Community Day. Avon Lake residents get a $1 discount on tickets with a valid ID. Local businesses will have tables set up in the stadium.

Cleveland Indians All-Star Asdrubal Cabrera will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before Thursday's 7:05 p.m. game against the Slammers. After that, he will be on the concourse signing autographs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Fans are limited to one autograph apiece.

Also Thursday, legendary Cleveland Cavaliers radio broadcaster Joe Tait will be the special guest public address announcer for a few innings, the team announced Tuesday.

Sunday's 5:05 p.m. game against the Washington Wild Things is Christmas in July Day. There will be holiday music, entertainment and maybe a visit from Santa. If you bring a toy to be donated to Toys for Tots, you'll get $3 off home box admission.
