ASSISTavonlake Hosting Open House Thursday at Library
Want to help? Stop in for a few minutes... or longer to find out how you can assist.

ASSISTavonlake will host an open house at Avon Lake Public Library on Thursday, March 28 from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Jim Coyne, Communications Assistant, said individuals interested in helping with the project can spend a few minutes meeting organizers in the Friends room (immediately to the left when you enter the library).
"Basically, we hope to put together a mentorship program that can assist any in Avon Lake who are looking for jobs, retirement options, business opportunities, networking, and general resource advisement," an email from the organization said. "High schoolers may need help with resumes and counsel on scholarships along with possible bi-weekly coffee meet-ups. College graduates have their own particular issues such as debt relief, housing, and social balance. Then there's the wealth of knowledge from those who are looking for a way to give back to the community."
