  1. Paul Apple is sure not to forget the week of May 8, 2022 anytime soon. If he does I'm sure his wife will remind him. The 29 year-old got married and was named the head girl's basketball coach at Avon Lake, all in the past seven days! Apple is taking the reins of the talented team from Dave Zvara, who resigned after leading the Shoregals program for 11 years. (Chronicle-Telegram)
  2. All are welcome to attend the Avon Lake Democrats Club regular monthly meeting, which will be held at 7 p.m. on May 24, at The Old Firehouse Community Center. The guest speaker will be Craig Swartz, Democratic candidate for U.S. House Ohio District 5. (The Morning Journal)
