Avon, Avon Lake Thanksgiving 2021: What's Closed, Trash Delays

AVON, OH — In a blink of an eye, Thanksgiving has arrived.

To help Avon and Avon Lake residents prepare for the holiday, we've compiled a list of some of the municipal institutions that will be impacted by the holiday.

Avon Lake trash collection will be delayed one day, with no collection on Thursday.

Here's what will be open and closed around the holiday:

• Avon Lake municipal offices will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday.
• Avon municipal offices will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday.
• Avon Lake Public Library will be closed on Thanksgiving and Black Friday.
• Avon Public Library will be closed Thursday but will reopen with normal hours on Friday.
• The Avon and Avon Lake Schools have Thanksgiving Break on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
