  2. The Avon Lake City Schools Homecoming Parade is right around the corner. It will be held on Saturday, September 24at 10:30 a.m. This year's theme is Decades: Celebrating 100 years ALCS. You can register to march in the parade. According to a Facebook post from the Avon Lake City Schools, "homecoming is different things to different groups of people. Alumni of Avon Lake High have their reunions duro Homecoming. Businesses enter the parade to show their support for the community. Civic groups enter the parade to show their community spirit.
