Avon Lake Mourns Possible Murder-Suicide Victims During Vigil

On Sunday evening, the Avon Lake community came together to remember those lost in a tragic suspected murder-suicide.

AVON LAKE, OH — The lawn of Anchor Church filled with mourning community members on Sunday evening.

The church, across from Erieview Elementary, hosted a vigil to remember the family lost during a suspected murder-suicide last week, Fox 8 reported. Two of the dead were students at Erieview.

Attendees offered prayers for the community and for comfort for neighbors and students coping with the tragedy. Others offered prayers for the police department, while wondering how something this tragic could happen in Avon Lake.

Investigators believe an Avon Lake husband killed his wife, two children, a family dog and then himself on Sept. 7.

Jeffrey Hull, 50, and Heidi Hull, 47, were found dead inside their English Turn Drive home on Tuesday, alongside their two dead children Garrett Hull, 9, and Grant Hull, 6. All four had been shot, police said. One of the two family dogs was also shot and killed.

Jeffrey and Heidi were married and Garrett and Grant were their children, Avon Lake police told Patch.
