You should be getting a message from the school system on Wednesday.

The district is conducting a test of its Honeywell Instant Alert System on Wednesday by sending test messages to all who have signed up.

Instant alerts are used for school cancellations or closings, or in other situations where parents need to be notified quickly. Messages can be sent to a telephone, cell phone, email address or pager, or all of the above.

If a parent does not get a message, the district asks them to sign in at the district's website and update their contact information.
