It is a lasting tribute while at the same time enhancing the natural beauty of the environment in our beautiful City Parks. Trees can be planted at Every Child's Playground, Northgate Park and Schwartz Park and Veterans Memorial. The price per tree is $395 and includes the cost of planting, staking, mulch and care. 2. The City of Avon, Ohio, is accepting applications for lateral police officer positions. Although no test is required at this time, all applicants must be a minimum of 21 years of age, are able to maintain a current valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record and possess a current State of Ohio Police Officer Training Academy certification (OPOTA). The ideal candidate is required to have worked as a full-time police officer in the State of Ohio for no less than 2 years within the last 3 years. If you are chosen to be considered, the next steps in the process would include, but are not limited to: interviews, physical fitness assessment, psychological assessment, background check, drug screening and credit check.
